GIGGLES

This boy LOVES dogs but I'm pretty sure he'll never get a real one. Excuse the milk he was trying to drink a bottle before I made him laugh.

TWO YEARS - WOW IT GOES BY FAST

Michael and I have been married for two years on December 1st! It's been such a great two years we didn't even have the tough first year to deal with it. We've been blessed with maturity, communication, lots of laughs and now a beautiful family. We went out to Tuacahn for the live nativity (yes we took Carter on our anniversary, he's just so easy and fun, I'm sure next year will be a different story) then to dinner and off to Target to do a little Christmas shopping.

WE'RE HAVING A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really thought it was going to be a boy so I was shocked! Everything looks good, she is very active. So far our plan is to name her Elizabeth Noel after my mom and dad (Leon spelled backward) and call her Ellie. Isn't that adorable.

IT'S ABOUT TIME FOR #2

Most of you have heard we are having another baby! Crazy to think because Carter is only 6 1/2 months old what's even crazier is that I'm further along then I originaly thought. So I am almost 12 weeks due on April 16th, a year and a day from when Carter was due. We are going to be so busy next Spring but we are so excited to grow our family.
I know you probably can't see anything but he was swimming and kicking off the sides and flipping over it was amazing to see.

THE ANDERSONS GO TO SALT LAKE

We went to Salt Lake this last weekend and had a blast. We were celebrating my friend, Shauna's birthday at Ichiban and we got to surprise her by showing up. The sushi was great and it was so fun to see my friends again.
Shauna and Rob

Kristin and Michael

Kristin, Sherrie, Stefanie and Shauna

On Saturday we had a fabulous lunch at Pei Wei did some shopping at Harbor Freight for Michael's birthday and then met my brother, his kids and Michael's brother and girlfriend at the Aquarium.

After the Aquarium we drove out to the Salt Lake Marina and Saltair, it was gorgeous but stinky, I hadn't ever been out there.

The next morning we went to Temple Square and walked around and felt the peace and serenity before the craziness to come this next weekend. After that we went to church with Dave and Tammy and headed home. But before we got home we stopped at Eric and Allison's for a delicious dinner with Mom and Dad and Craig and Shelyce. We were beat when we got home but we had such a good time and Carter did so well it makes us ready to go more places.

CARTER CUTS TWO TEETH

Carter is getting his two bottom teeth in and he isn't doing too bad with it. It's been a week now so maybe he's getting used to it. He wasn't very cooperative when I tried to take a picture of his teeth.

FUN, COUSINS, PARTIES, AND CARTER 6 MONTHS

I can't believe a month has already gone by. The last couple of weeks have been fun, we've had a great time hanging out with cousins by the dozens. Hiking with the Cedar kids, going to Derek's one year birthday party and James was able to come down last week for Kian and Kamden's birthday party, it was super special because Grandpa Mike, Grandma Kelly, Gigi, Billy and Jessica were all able to come from California. We had a great time!! Carter's 6 month checkup was yesterday he is 19 lb 3 oz and 28.5 inches long. In the 75% for weight and 95% for height but the Dr said he was on the slim side and it was okay to keep feeding him ;)

CARTER'S 5 MONTH SLIDESHOW

TAKING MATTERS INTO HIS OWN HANDS

Most of you know that Michael has had a very painful bulging disc for about 4 months now. He has been trying everything to get relief, this is his new invention -- an inversion door. If I can't find him around the house I know he's out back "hanging around".

CARTER -- WALK TO MAMA

I don't know how to handle such a gifted five month old... Okay so you can probably tell that he is leaning up against the ottoman but it was so funny to see him look like a lil toddler. Stephanie take a close looke he's wearing the cute socks you gave him.

I COULDN'T RESIST

I put this picture up not just cause it is so dang cute but also because right before Carter fell asleep he was picking at the letter's on James's t-shirt it was so funny to watch those little fingers I wish I would have gotten it on video.

I'M USUALLY A FAST RUNNER BUT I'VE BEEN TAGGED

1. What is your/his name? Kristin Elizabeth Maxwell and Michael Robert Anderson
2. Who eats more? Actually last night he pointed out that for the first time I ate more dinner than he did, but it was spaghetti and who can get filled up on spaghetti?
3. Who said I love you first? I did! But he had been hinting at it for weeks.
4. Who is taller? Michael is 6-1 and Kristin is 5-10. Our poor kids have no chance at being petite. (just a simple name change - thanks Heather :)
5. Who is smarter? Book smart me, street smart Michael it makes a great combination.
6. Who is more sensitive? Since having Carter I cry at everything, I can't even watch the news anymore it makes me so sad, so I guess it's me.
7. Who does the laundry? I do mine and Michael sneaks his into my laundry basket.
8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? We don't take sides in this family! Which really confuses James when he comes looking for Michael in the middle of the night.
9. Who pays the bills? I do, I hate it but I can't give it up.
10. Who cooks more? I do because I get so tired of DiGorno's, hamburgers, and mac n cheese.
11. What meals do you cook together? Breakfast on Saturday mornings and Sunday dinners.
12. Who is more stubborn? I am not answering this question!! Hehe that's me being stubborn.
13. Who is first to admit when they are wrong? Michael, even if he's not just to get the argument over with.
14. Who has more siblings? Kristin 5, Michael 6 -- so close
15. Who wears the pants in the relationship? He does, but I wear the belt that holds up the pants :)
16. What do you like to do together? Del Taco for breakfast burritos, watch Seinfeld and Simpsons at 10 on Fox, camping, hanging out with family, bouncing ideas off each other, and enjoying James and Carter.
17. Who eats more sweets? It's all me!
18. Guilty pleasures? Volkswagen's for him and dang I can't come up with a single one for me, guess I don't feel too guilty.
19. How did you meet? Our eyes met across a crowded Hogi Yogi.
20. Who asked who out first? Actually Dana my cousin asked him out for me over text message it was so kids in middle school but it turned out fabulous.
21. Who kissed who first? This is a whole story in and of itself, but I will say he made all the first moves.
22. Who proposed? I think it was mutually discussed but then he did make it official a few days later.
23. What is your/his best feature? Michael said it's a tie between my eyes and my smile and for him it has got to be his body, he's so hot!
24. What is your/his best quality? He says I'm funny -- I love it! I absolutely love the whole package but his best quality is that he can always simmer me down and make me smile even when I am trying to fight.

I tag Amy Schauers, Lindsey Grantham and Hillary!

THE BLUE LIZARD

We bought this sandrail frame for pretty cheap and since Michael has most of the needed parts to get this thing running we thought what the heck it will be a good family project. Too bad its only a 2-seater but maybe one day we'll be able to swap it with someone.

PIONEER DAY 7.24.08

We had so much fun today. We went up to Pine Valley to go fishing for a little bit. Even though James didn't catch anything the fish were biting like crazy and he hardly ever got a worm back that he cast in. After fishing we went to Mom and Dad's ward party also up in Pine Valley at the Gubler's cabin. It was really fun to see everyone and show off Carter. I've got to get used to people just taking off with him because it happens at my ward too. James caught a little garden snake and was the king of the party. All the kids flocked around James to see and hold the snake. On the way home we stopped at the Veyo pool to check it out and look for crawdads but there was too much water. It was so nice to get out of the heat and into the mountains for some R&R.

CARTER'S BEAUTIFUL QUILT

Michael's Aunt Jolleen made this beautiful quilt for Carter, it has his name, the day he was born how much he weighed and how long he was -- it is so special! Thank you Aunt Jolleen, he loves it and it's something we'll treasure forever.

GRANDPA MIKE AND GRANDMA KELLY COME FOR THE 4th of JULY

We had a great time with Michael's folks here for the 4th. We swam and swam, went to the fireworks and on Saturday spent the day at the river skimboarding, playing in the waterfall, and hunting frogs. Sunday morning they made the family their delicious biscuits and gravy which has been a tradition for years. Happy 4th everyone!!

MAXWELL FAMILY REUNION

It was time again for the Maxwell Family Reunion. Once a year my dad's family gets together to play games, eat, razz each other and reconnect. It was up in Enoch where they are all from. We had a good time and James and Adam had fun playing with the many many kids. It's really sad when there gets to be so many you have no idea which toe head belongs to which cousin. James was easy to spot because he was one of the few brunettes and of course Carter being the youngest he got his fair share of attention. Until next year!!
